From a look at their track record, it’s clear that Mondu is a company that doesn’t waste time. Founded at the end of 2021, the company serves six markets and has a team of 120 based in three countries. When it came to their 2023 end of the year event, the question was how to make the time together fun but also meaningful. With a Q4 schedule that didn’t show any signs of letting up, Director of Talent Amie Stevense reached out to Rachel Wright to see if she could help.

“The team was looking for a celebration that felt unique, wintery, and special while reflecting the position of a Series A start-up. They didn't want to compete with expectations of larger organisations at end of year events - rather find something fitting to them," Rachel remembers.

"Huge thanks to Rachel for being our secret weapon in organizing our winter party - she got our vibe spot on! "

Taking the input from the team, Rachel recommended the Schmelzwerk in the Sarotti-Höfen as a location. The space had the historic, industrial vibe that suited to the atmosphere the team was after and also incorporated a small outdoor Christmas market where a Welcome drink would be served. From there, Rachel worked closely with the venue to ensure the cosy winter vibe the team was after came through in the decoration. To help people connect at the party, Rachel also created a digital game to break the ice and help the remote teams get to know one another better as people.

The post-party feedback from Amie was one of the best gifts under the tree: “Huge thanks to Rachel for being our secret weapon in organizing our winter party - she got our vibe spot on! Everyone was mingling across teams from the minute they arrived via a fun game she created, and the food, décor and music all matched perfectly to our cozy winter wonderland vision.”
